five a side football is a popular sport for many athletes and sportsman. It pits five players against five players, with one player in net for each team. The idea of the game is to alternate between attack and defence, whenever it is more suitable to do that particular style. The pitch of a five a side is much smaller than normal footballing fields, due to it being inside, and due to it being for only ten players at a time. The game can be played as a friendly, or players can participate in a tournament. Referees do take part in five a side games, but only when it is a tournament.
