Everyone’s experience of bowls probably consists of watching a lot of pensioners in flat caps bending over a pristine grass bowling green looking deadly serious about the ensuing battle with the opposing player. Well it doesn’t just end there; it has much more to it than that!

The variety of ages that compete in bowls is more than you would imagine, people as young as teenagers play bowls.

The game is also of course played indoors in the form of carpet bowls which is very popular in the winter months as well as all other parts of the year, so why not get yourself down to your local bowling club and have a go at the interesting and challenging game of bowls.
